O’MARA — Mary E. O’Mara, 84, of Cortland, New York, died Jan. 13, 2015, at Cortland Regional Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Zareski serving as celebrant. Prayers of committal in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery will be private. There are no calling hours.
SCHOOLEY — Charles M. Schooley, 67, of Newfield, New York, formerly of Groton, New York, died Jan. 13, 2015. A graveside service will be held at a future date, which will be announced by the Shurtleff Funeral Home, Groton. There are no calling hours.

BAKER — Harry Francis Baker, 72, of Cortland, New York, died Jan. 11, 2015, at his daughter’s home. Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., at Hall Funeral Home, Lafayette.
BENEDICT — Edwin Jeril “Jerry” Benedict, 95, of Airport Road, Hamilton, New York, died Jan. 11, 2015, at his home. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Hamilton, in the spring. Calling hours are at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service Saturday
CASEY — Luke Michael Casey, 40, of Essex, Vermont, and formerly of Cortland, New York, died Jan. 11, 2015, at his home. A celebration of Luke’s life will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Catalyst Church on Raceway, 100 Raceway Road, Jericho, Vermont. Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ready Funeral Home, Mountain View Chapel, 68 Pinecrest Drive, Essex Junction, Vermont.

GOODSELL — Montana Goodsell, 62, of North Tioga Street, Ithaca, died Jan. 9, 2015, at the Cayuga Medical Center. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden. A funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne.
McDONALD — Michael J. McDonald, 59, of Cortland, New York, died Jan. 12, 2015. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. service Friday at A.C. Baker & Son Funeral Home, 26 Main St., Marathon.
VANDEBURG — Doris A. Vandeburg, 90, of McGraw, New York, died Jan. 13, 2015, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at the Barth Funeral Home in McGraw. Burial will be in McGraw Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home.

CARLTON — Frederick Lisle Carlton, 83, of East Syracuse, New York, died Dec. 27, 2014, at his son’s home. A private memorial service was held by immediate family and friends.

STEPHENSON — Virginia A. “Jinnie” Stephenson, 71, of Cortland, New York, died Jan 9, 2015. A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the VFW on Main Street in Cortland. After the service, there will be a celebration of her life.
