Local quartet honorable mentions

The Cortland-Homer hockey team placed four senior players on the honorable mention portion of the Section 3 Division II American Conference all-stars for the season just past.
Honored were defenseman/forward John Burhans (six goals and five assists for 11 points, fourth on the team); goalie Tyler Wallace (3.48 goals-against average with a .885 save percentage and one shutout in 17 games); forward Mike May (7-9-16, team leader in scoring) and forward Danny Turck (6-8-14, second on the team).
The first team consists of senior defenseman Owen Kuhns, the Player of the Year, and sophomore forward Patrick Major from league champion Skaneateles; senior forward Ryan Durkin, junior defenseman Sam Mueller and sophomore goalie Gabe Vinal from league runner-up and sectional Division II champion Syracuse CBA/Jamesville-DeWitt, and sophomore forward Kaden Tubbert from third-place Auburn. Mitch Major from Skaneateles is the Coach of the Year.
Skaneateles placed three players — sophomore forwards Reggie Buell and Ray Falso, and junior defenseman Devin Callahan — on the second team. Joining them there are CBA/J-D sophomore forward Zach Taylor, Auburn freshman forward Jake Morin and senior defenseman Dan Entenmann and, from fourth-place Whitesboro, senior goalie Tim Evans.
Honorable mention also went to a trio of Skaneateles juniors — forwards Reece Eddy and Ben Russell, and defenseman Jake Patalino — as well as CBA/J-D sophomore goalie Peyton Bowler, freshman forward Tanner Coleman and senior forward Lucas Relkin; Auburn senior forwards Brian Franceschelli and Jay Wilkes, and junior defenseman Casey Komanecky; and from Whitesboro, senior forwards Brandon DePerno and Matt Morreale.
