HARMON — John E. Harmon, 76, died Nov. 19, 2014, at Health Park Medical Center in Fort Myers, Fla. A remembrance fellowship will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. July 12 in the Homer Community Building at the George Vernum Memorial Park (behind the Homer Fire Station).
JOINER — Dr. James Roland Joiner, 96, of Saint Petersburg, Fla., died July 1, 2015. A celebration of life will be held in Moravia in the fall.
PIZZOLA — Michele “Mike” Pizzola, 81, of Cortland, N.Y., died July 2, 2015, at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church. The Christian Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in St. Anthony’s Church, Pomeroy Street, Cortland.
SMITH — Alex Kyle Smith, 14, of U.S. Route 11, Cortland, N.Y., died July 1, 2015, at the Cortland Regional Medical Cente. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
SUTTON — Lloyd G. Sutton Sr., 96, of Truxton, N.Y., died July 1, 2015. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, DeRuyter. Burial will be in Truxton Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

RICE — Genevieve House Rice, 98, died June 27, 2015, after a brief illness. Visitation is from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the 11 a.m. funeral service at Richard H. Keenan Funeral Home, 7501 Pittsford Palmyra Road, Fairport. A brief burial service will follow at 3 p.m. at Virgil Rural Cemetery.
